Article Writing Tips
- Choose a good title for your article so it’s neither too short, nor too long. A good title is captivating, inviting readers to read it. The title should contain a specific keyword, usually an expression that gives the article a topic, e.g. “Making love prolongs life, say sexologists”.
- Write an adequate article annotation using between 100 to 200 characters that will make readers want to read the article and tells them in one or two sentences, what the article is about. In your annotation mention a few other keywords / phrases that are related to your article.
- Write an outlinefor your article so that it makes sense to readers, is well structured and each paragraph follows the one before.
- Write in paragraphs. A paragraph shouldn’t have more than 500 characters. Every article should have a number of paragraphs where each one concentrates on one main idea of article.
- Always write your article in only one language and not in a combination of languages.
- Use words in bold to emphasize keywords / main ideas / phrases of the article. Remember there should be only few bold words. Never make bold whole sentences or paragraphs. That would be meaningless. The number of bold words in an article shouldn’t be more than 20% of the total number of words.
- Use italics to mark a word/phrase/idea which is either an alternative to something already mentioned, an explanation or subjective feeling/opinion of the author.
- Using different heading levels (subheadings / H1 to H6)helps you clearly determin the structure of your article, increase the number of readers and improve its search engine rankings. There should be keywords / phrases in all titles. Ideally one keyword / phrase in each titlewhich characterises the paragraph content.
- In each article state only a few important hypertext links (if at all necessary). You should never have more than 5 links in one article. It would then become uninteresting for BackLinks Genius system.
- In your articles never present keywords / phrases in an unnatural way, e.g. don’t separate them with a comma or list them in one row. Also don’t overuse the keywords (the density of a keyword in an article shouldn’t be higher than 10%). Keywords are important for you because they are targeted by advertisers and that’s how you earn your money. Rich and varied articles on specific topics containing synonyms and similar expressions are very interesting for our advertisers in terms of distributing their links.
